About Student Life

“Dedicated to the power and promise of education, we inspire students, build careers and strengthen communities.”

We work in the Cultural Center, the Health Service Clinic, the Rec Center, and the Student Life Office. We plan events and student development programs. We help clubs organize and connect one-on-one with students.

Our mission is to get you connected to the people, programs and resources at Inver Hills which allow you to choose the Inver Hills student experience you want.

Some Things We Value Here

However you want to connect at Inver Hills Community College, we want to help you. Read more below about some of the things we value and see resources, events, and announcements for each category.

Equity and Inclusion

You have leadership skills and we want to help you develop them! Learn new skills and hone the ones you already have. Figure out how your strengths relate to your career, attend a leadership conference, or lead our Get Out The Vote campaign.

Health & Wellness

Your well-being is deeply important to us. What you need may change throughout your time at Inver. Take advantage resources, events, clubs, programs related to physical health and sports, mental health and well-being, and general wellness.

Personal Development & Civic Engagement

We value you and we hope to be a place where you feel safe to be challenged, to grow, and to find community. Consider the world from a variety of diverse perspectives, develop new ways to root out your own bias, or find community on campus.

Fun and Networking

College is a the time to develop friendships which last a life time, to become deeply connected to a community of people who value you and challenge you to become the person you will be. It is also the time to eat free pizza in the Lounge finishing a paper.

Student Clubs & Organizations

Student clubs, club sports, and othher student groups are the best way to meet people who share your interests, values, or career goals here at Inver Hills. Have fun, learn new skills, or educate others and advocate for the issues you care about most.

Academic Clubs & Resources

Sometimes the resource you need is exactly what you expect, sometimes it isn’t. Do you need a tutor, or food between classes? Maybe you need help finding your course on the first day. We help you find resources outside of class to become better inside it.

We provide high-quality, free or low-cost confidential health care and counseling for Inver Hills students. We are staffed throughout the week by registered nurses; a physician is available one day a week.
