Who: Open to all students, staff and faculty.
What: You earn miles for running/walking, biking, rowing, or weight training. Activities must be done at IHCC. Check in at the Rec Desk in Activities building and report mileage there when done. Faculty and staff who are not members may buy a temporary membership for the challenge for $10. See Bo Johnson at the Rec window. All participants will need to complete the Rec. waiver (if they do not have one on file).
1 mile run/walk on treadmill/elliptical/gym = 1 mile (15 gym laps = mile)
10 minutes biking/rowing = 1 mile
1 set of 5-20 reps lifting = .1 mile (10 sets = mile)
Goals: 26 miles = minor prize
50 miles = nicer prize
100 miles = big prize (prizes as yet to be determined)
The fitness areas will be closed Feb. 20, 23, 24, March 9, 10, and reduced hours during spring break. Get a schedule from the Rec Activities window.

Originally tied to the lunar-solar Chinese calendar, the holiday was a time to honor household and heavenly deities as well as ancestors. It was also a time to bring family together for feasting.
Follow along as Zhang weaves colorful tales from ancient China, including a story about boy who meets a friendly dragon, and the Monkey King, a magical super hero from the Ming Dynasty.

College of Design Transfer Open House
The College of Design invites you to an Annual Transfer Open House on Friday, February 3, 2017, at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. This event is an opportunity to learn more about the College of Design at the U of M and why it’s one of the best places in the country to study the field of Design.
At this event, participants will learn more about the college’s signature academic programs and unique opportunities while meeting with the people who make the College of Design a great place to be- its faculty, advisers, staff, and current students. Plus, students will hear more about the College of Design transfer admission requirements and next steps. An optional tour of College of Design classroom s and facilities will be available after the event.
