– It is a great opportunity to gain public speaking experience that will look great on a resume.  You also have the honor of representing the 2016 IHCC graduating class as you kick off graduation and provide some words of inspiration.

How

– Submit an outline for your 4 minute long speech to Brad Manley (bmanley@inverhills.edu) by Monday 4/18/16.

*You can also drop off your outline at LA-114 (be sure to include your contact info).

You are submitting a proposal and a selection committee will meet to determine the finalist(s).

If chosen, you will work with faculty on fine tuning your speech and delivery techniques for the day of.

Expanding your Horizons Conference (for girls, grades 6-8) at Inver Hills Community College

Come and explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture and Math (STEAM) careers during hands on workshops with positive women role models active in their fields…Experience science labs with college professors…Participate in STEAM Expo featuring colleges, student groups, professional societies & STEAM employers…

Concurrent parent & teacher workshops will focus on college planning, financing and careers. Transportation available from Valley Middle, Rosemount Middle, Falcon Ridge, Black Hawk and Dakota Hills Middle Schools

Discussion on Healthcare Careers

If you are considering a career field in health Science, come and meet an Inver Hills Alumni. Melissa Sanchez will talk about what healthcare careers are available for student of color in Minnesota. She is attending Saint Catherine University Occupational Therapy and will be presenting on Tuesday, March 15 1-2pm at the CC117. Club sponsors: International Club and Unidos Club (FREE PIZZA).
