Phi Theta Kappa is the international honors society of two year college students. Alpha Omicron Beta is the chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Inver Hills Community College. Students who become members of Phi Theta Kappa are welcome to be as active as they would like to be with the activities and events of our chapter.
For more than 100 years, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society has helped millions of high-achieving college students reach their full potential. We don’t just recognize their academic success; we give them opportunities to develop professional and leadership skills, earn scholarships, explore career paths — and make their worlds a lot bigger.
If you’re a college student considering membership, look around, get to know us, and learn more about the benefits and opportunities that await you.
Through our two annual induction ceremonies, annual service and research projects, and through the other work of our chapter we seek to honor Your achievements. There is a one-time Membership fee for all new members, but we have a scholarship process so this fee does not become the reason you can’t join.
Join us as we research important topics together. Also, there are many scholarships available as well!
Our student leaders are not only leaders in the classroom. They work with the campus administration to advocate for positive change on campus.
Through volunteerism, scholarly research and advocacy, Phi Theta Kappa seeks to serve the campus and our community.
College is easier when you have a community of faculty, staff and other students to work along side you. We provide a network of scholarly fellowship to students.
