Free Throw Contest: November 4, 2-5 p.m. in the Activities Gym. Check in at Rec. desk with student ID. Participants will shoot a round of 25 free throws and they must make 15 to qualify for a 2nd round. If there is a tie, the tie breaker will be the high score in the 2nd round. Win a medal or T-shirt for 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place will get medals (men’s and women’s divisions).

Ice Hockey Meeting: Thursday, November 6 at 1 p.m. in room A-220. The sport is coed and Extramural – play is against other community colleges in the metro area. Practice starts January 13. Hockey is played on Tuesday & Thursday, 1-2:15 pm. Please allow extra time, 12 pm – 4 pm for travel to other arenas (vans are provided). Inver Hills’ home ice is Wakota Arena in South St. Paul. Volleyball Thursdays 1-4pm: November 6 – Student vs. Faculty/Staff at 3 p.m. in the gym.

Fitness Center Hours: Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Pick up an open gym schedule at the Rec. desk on the lower level of the Activities Building.

Gym and Fitness Closed Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11 (college closed).

PTK MEMBERSHIP PROCESS

1.) Qualify for Membership

Students who complete at least 12 college-level credits, earn a 3.5 semester GPA in at least one semester, and who maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 qualify for membership. If you are not sent an invitation to join contact ptk@inverhills.edu.

2.) Invitations Sent

Invitation emails and letters are sent to eligible students after the second week of fall and spring semester each year. The invitation will include instructions and your individual passcode needed to join.

3.) Join Online

Members pay a one-time membership fee and join using your passcode. If this fee is preventing you from joining instead apply for membership using our membership fee waiver application

4.) Induction and Get Involved!

We host an induction ceremony each semester. You must sign up to be inducted. Find out more by joining our meeting or take a look at our event calendar at inverhills.edu/ptk
