Toys 4 Military Kids Drive – Oct 31 through Nov 17

VALOR Club will be taking donations near the Fresh Stop Café or drop off locations on the first floor of each building. The drop off location for the College Center Building will be in the Veteran Services area, 2nd floor.

Please consider making a monetary donation by joining us in honoring and thanking our military families for their many sacrifices. Donations need for all age groups – Infant to 18 years old.

Veterans Day Event – Thursday Nov 10

Come and hear Brockton’s uplifting presentation on the positive efforts and dedication of Veterans and service members who serve our country. Brock will include his own perspective as a veteran and discuss what drove him to pursue his education and become committed to assisting his fellow veterans. Luncheon to follow presentation in honor of veterans and servicemembers.

Event held from 11:00 am – 12:00 in the College Center Building, Rooms 117-118

 IHCC VALOR Toiletry Drive – Thursday Nov 10

What better way to celebrate Veterans Day than to show you care by helping those in need! There will be a drop off box in the College Center Building, Rooms 117-118 and in Veteran Services 2nd floor, College Center Building. All items will be donated to the Open Door Pantry in Eagan, MN. Suggested items: Toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable razors, shaving cream, soap/shower gel, lotion, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, toilet paper, feminine products, wipes, dish soap, etc.

Suicide Prevention Training for All!  Tuesday, November 15

Learn the warning signs and other valuable information you need to know! This training is offered by the VA Medical Center- – One small act can make a difference! Stop by Heritage Hall, Room 317, training session is from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm.

PTK MEMBERSHIP PROCESS

1.) Qualify for Membership

Students who complete at least 12 college-level credits, earn a 3.5 semester GPA in at least one semester, and who maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 qualify for membership. If you are not sent an invitation to join contact ptk@inverhills.edu.

2.) Invitations Sent

Invitation emails and letters are sent to eligible students after the second week of fall and spring semester each year. The invitation will include instructions and your individual passcode needed to join.

3.) Join Online

Members pay a one-time membership fee and join using your passcode. If this fee is preventing you from joining instead apply for membership using our membership fee waiver application

4.) Induction and Get Involved!

We host an induction ceremony each semester. You must sign up to be inducted. Find out more by joining our meeting or take a look at our event calendar at inverhills.edu/ptk
