Join the Yellow Ribbon Committee, VALOR Club, The Student Life Department, and others, to celebrate our veterans on Wednesday, November 10 from 12-1pm during an online Veterans Day event.
This presentation will explore the impact on how Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV), its VETLaw Program and MACV’s community partners work together to help address homelessness and other issues veterans face in Minnesota and nationally.
Our keynote speaker is Walter Burk, staff attorney for the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans in St Paul. Walter is a veteran, having received an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force after completing his enlistment as a Minuteman Nuclear Missile Technician. Besides his exceptional public services work history, he also teaches at the University of St Thomas Law School in the Public Interest Externship program assisting law students to gain practice legal experience serving public organizations.
Please join us virtually for Mr. Burk’s inspiring story in MACV’s mission to end veteran homelessness in Minnesota.
